Richard Monsieurs is a Dutch hair photographer and creative director working between Amsterdam and New York. He collaborates with professional hair brands, salons, hairstylists, colourists, agencies and publications across Europe and the United States.
Hair photography is a team process. Lighting, model direction, makeup, wardrobe and retouching all have to support the cut, colour and finish without losing the emotion of the image. Richard brings those elements together into work that can feel polished, graphic, soft or editorial while remaining true to the brief.
